The Colonial Revival home features a wraparound porch with wicker furnishings where guests can relax, plus an on-site wine shop for a bottle to toast a fabulous local vacation. The Kuralt room is named in honor of Charles Kuralt, an award-winning American journalist, born in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Pamlico House had the privilege of hosting Mr. Kuralt as a guest when he visited Washington. Located on the second floor, the Kuralt room features a king and a queen bed, and a personal bathroom and shower. This elegant room also boasts antique furnishings and lace curtains.
The Beaufort room was named in honor of Henry Somerset, 2nd Duke of Beaufort, for whom Beaufort County was named. This room is located on the second floor and features a king bed, and its own bathroom and shower. Beaufort also boasts French lace curtains and is decorated with antique furnishings complemented by an elegant French flair.
The Bonner room was named for Col. James Bonner who will probably be remembered longest for his efforts in helping found the town of Washington, North Carolina. Col. James Bonner renamed the town in honor of his commanding general who donated land to develop public buildings, streets, and a church. The Bonner room is located on the second floor, and features a queen bed, its own bathroom, shower, and lace curtains. The room is decorated in a casual shabby chic aesthetic.
The Dudley room was named after Christopher Dudley, who in 1726 was granted the original 337 acres the town of Washington was eventually founded on.
